Objectified

Yesterday I went to a screening of the documentary Objectified at the Cooper-Hewitt museum. The movie is done by Gary Huswit- the same guy who made the Helvetica documentary. I don't care how you see this movie but you really should. It was really interesting to think about the design of everyday objects.

Helvetica

I love helvetica. I love its complete simplicity over all other fonts. It's like the ultimate modernism font... and I just found out that it has its very own movie! The trailer looks really interesting and I can't wait to get my hands on a copy. It's really just showing that helvetica is everywhere in our lives. The keyboard I'm typing this on is helvetica! Go here to check it out. Gary Hustwit who made this documentary has also made one called "Objectified" looking at common objects in our every day lives. There's a New York screening next Thursday which is (sadly) already sold out. Bummerrr
